As soon as the Cox family walked up to meet me in the midst of all the noise and mayhem going on at Schafer’s and Collin’s Pumpkin Patch, I knew this was going to be a special evening. Even though the weather was still trying to keep summer alive, we were ready to create Fall in our hearts with all things sunflowers cotton fields, and pumpkins.
David and I talked about snakeskins and school, you can guess which of those topics he enjoyed talking about the most. We also had a silly face contest. He rated my silly face as a two. I have some serious work to do, guys.
Lynley wasn’t impressed with my face hiding behind a black box that went click, but I’m secure in the fact that one day we’ll be friends. Hopefully. But mom always knows that special way to get a laugh. And big brother tried his best to make sure sister felt safe. It was the most precious thing to watch as he tried to comfort and reassure his sister that the camera really wasn’t all that bad.
