Event: The marriage of Anna Lawrence and Roby Paris
Wedding location: Outdoors
Solution: Pray for a weather change
End result: I got up the day of the wedding and looked at the forecast. There was a 40% chance of rain during the time we were scheduled to do portraits and decreased from there. I checked back almost every hour and watched as the numbers went down. 30%, 20%, 5%. I walked outside as I began loading my car up with all of my equipment and there was not a rain cloud in the sky. Instead, huge puffy clouds floated across a blue sky. God is good! (Of course, He would still be good if it had rained, but I am very thankful He shows His goodness in other ways as well!)
Anna and Roby got married in the backyard of Anna’s old home. It couldn’t have been any better. She got to prepare for the day in her old bedroom while so many amazing helpers prepared the backyard for the day of her dreams. The transformation was beautiful, as you will soon see! From Roby’s reaction to seeing Anna for the first time as she walked down the aisle, their handwritten letters to each other, to the singing of the old song “Tell Me Why” by all of the young kids, this was one of the sweetest weddings I’ve been a part of. The bridesmaids reveal with Anna was the cutest thing ever. The hustle and busy-ness of the entire day culminated in a beautiful setting with wonderful people and lots of yummy food. There was a popcorn bar, coffee bar, fruit, meat and cheese, and of course, cake. That groom’s cake, y’all… Patticakes did an amazing job! I had a couple people tell me they didn’t even know it was a cake before it was cut.
But I know you’re way more interested in seeing the pictures than reading what I have to say, so I’ll stop now and you can look to your heart’s content. If you want some post-wedding feels, there’s a video if you make it all the way to the bottom documenting the entire day.
