Kayla Tyler

Kayla and I spent two years playing basketball together. I was Varsity and she was playing up on both Junior Varsity and Varsity. She always had a smile on her face, even when we were running line drills.ย She always has a smile on her face, and you can’t help but smile back. ๐Ÿ™‚ Her personality exudes joy and you instantly feel happier when she’s around!

When I found out that they were interested in getting some last minute senior portraits for Kayla, I was so excited! Plus, she told me she really like the bohemian look. That’s all I needed to know. I knew we were going to hit it off perfectly.

I got to the location Kayla chose for her portraits, which was our family property, and when I saw the spirea/bridal wreath blooming, I knew I had to make a flower crown for Kayla. It’s been my dream for a while to have a styled shoot with a flower crown, and since she already mentioned she liked that look, it was a done deal, signed and delivered.

She had all the props to make a photographer’s heart happy. Between the flower crown, the derby hat, and Kayla’s infectious personality, I’m completely blown away with this senior session. I’ll be spending the next couple days just smiling and gazing at the pictures with all the heart eyes you can imagine.

She casually mentioned she had a hat to wear with her jeans and plaid shirt. “WHAT?! You brought a hat!? That is so perfect!” She laughed and said she wasn’t sure if she should wear it or not. “You have to wear it for at least some pictures.” Oh. So. Cute.

Kayla’s mom is the bomb. Mrs. Tori carried my stuff for me, captured some great moments with her phone camera between Kayla and I as we had fun doing senior memories. Thanks, Mrs. Tori!! ๐Ÿ™‚

A big part of ย Kayla’s life is basketball. So of course we had to include that in her senior portraits. Right now the wind in Arkansas is crazy. You should have seen me trying to put up this background. I literally battled the wind to keep it up at one point, and one time I lost the war. It was acting like a sail on a ship, and it almost took me with it. ๐Ÿ˜›

Kayla, thank you so much for making my heart happy and being such a wonderful example of joy, and letting me spend the evening with you. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m wishing you all the best!! ๐Ÿ™‚
